SDT sponsors a child cancer patient, Courtney, through Adopt-A-Family, where sisters visit her in the hospital ready to put a smile on her face with tons of fun activities. We also sponsor special events such as Valentine's day in Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
Sisters celebrate Courtney's 10th Birthday
Rutger's annual philanthropy for the Robert Wood Johnson Institute for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders is Dance Marathon, where SDT contributed to the total of over $220,000. Sisters commit their efforts yearlong through raising awareness, canning, and planning events, for the culmination of the 32 hour Marathon weekend.

Block Party-- In conjunction with Sigma Phil Epsilon we will be throwing a non-alcoholic campus wide block party on April 19th outside of Brower Commons to benefit our local Ronald McDonald house. This year we have large sponsors including RTVt records, MTV-U, Sobe, and more to be announced, with 5 bands, a performing artist, and plenty of activities.
Spaghetti Dinner-- We invite over all of the Greeks and university students to our house for spaghetti, salad, bread, and dessert. All proceeds go to Prevent Child Abuse America.
Singled Out- Our annual national campus wide philanthropic event for Prevent Child Abuse America based off the MTV 90's hit television game show Singled Out hosted by Jenny McCartney. 1 guy singles 1 girl out from over 50 contestants through a series of absurd questions and a round of so-called stunts.
Other Philanthropic Activities: Attending other greek organization's events, the big chill, elijah's promise soup kitchen, Special Friend's day, canning, clothing drives, bake sales, and more!
Date Auctions- We constantly host sister auction and date auctions at our house for Derby Days and Dance Marathon.
Derby Days-- Sigma Chi's annual philanthropic even for the Children's miracle network. It's a week long competition between all of the sororities on campus competing in events such as Penny Wars, lip-sync, brother auction, pie a brother, canning, etc.
